4/28/06 Leaving Osaka Now And Returning To Tokyo. Had a great gig last night with the Jill Decoy band at Osaka Muse.
Getting ready for a snack (before the train has left the station).
Good Manners Good Dog Life.....hahaha....I often think I should do a book on the interesting usage of English in Japanese ads. As an English speaker sometimes I don't have clue what these ads (written in English) mean.
Pooper Picker? Hahaha...Sometimes I have to laugh at some of the ads in Japan.
Keith Haines and the New Science Band. I went to Blues Alley in Meguro to hear the 'cats' play tonight. I was in shock! The GROOVE was so intense...so great. I've never heard anything in Tokyo that comes close. I was struck by their communication with each other on the stage...always watching each other...giving cues, helping each other and at the same time being so musical and entertaining. These guys are the "real deal". I was happy to hear that a new MIDAS (nightclub) is going to open in Roppongi beside FUSION and these guys are going to be the house band.
Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) Are Almost Finished But, Still Looking Good In Kami-Itabashi.
The Sign Outside A Ramen Shop In Nagoya.
My Favorite Japanese Actress....Miho Nakayama. Also, I really like Matsu Takako.
Played A Gig At Candy Last Night. Candy is a beautiful, new club/rest. in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
Well, this is where I finish my tour. It has been a lot of fun this week...a really interesting experience. Had some wonderful moments and some things that happened that I would rather forget (quickly!). Anyway, a great week and I'll probably be out there again soon.
These are the famous Japanese Koi. In The USA we call them carp. I thought these were unusual because they are golden koi. In West Virginia, we also have golden trout.
I Saw This Beautiful Stained Glass In Nagoya.
Here Is The 'Control Panel' On The High-tech Japanese Toilet.....
High-tech Japanese Toilets. Even The Seat Is Heated. That's a great thing on cold winter mornings in Tokyo....
Staying At The R&B Hotel In Nagoya. I've often stayed at B&B's in the USA and Europe but never a R&B (room&breakfast). I'll be playing the last gig on my tour tomorrow night about 50 meters away at DOXY.
